In the below example I am activating a Blackberry handset which is plugged into a PC via USB cable. The BESX server is version 5.0.2
Pre-Requisites
- You can run this from any PC on the domain.
- You must connect the Blackberry via USB
- I would recommend adding the BESX server address into your trusted sites.
- You must also allow the Blackberry ActiveX control to run.
Instructions
Open Internet Explorer and Connecto the the Blackberry Administration Service web interface:
https://<Your BESX server IP>:3443/webconsole/appMain.html
Login and selected manage devices – assign device as shown below.
On the next screen enter the username you want to associate, click search and then associate as shown below.
This should then activate the device
